Tour Description

Attractions: Kalampaka, Meteora Monasteries, Thermopylae, Statue of Leonidas. 

Departure from Athens at 07 00  to Meteora (350.00 km), where we will take a panoramic tour, taking photos and visiting 2 monasteries.The Meteora monasteries, built on the top of some of the rocks, are now the second most important monastic complex in Greece, after Mount Athos. There were 24 monasteries in Meteora, but nowadays 6 are functioning, while the remaining 15 are uninhabited and dilapidated. After this special experience, we return to Kalambaka for lunch.We leave for Athens around 15:30. We make a short stop for coffee and an extra stop for photos at Thermopylae (Field of the Battle between the Greeks and the Persians), one of the most important battles in the Greek and World History and the Monument of King Leonidas. Arrival in Athens, around 20.00.
