We will of course start our tour in the battlefield of Marathonas with a Tomb of 196 Athenians is still standing since 490 BC. We will drive through the Penteli mountain and cross the beautiful plain of Marathonas to reach Nea Makri a beatiful fishing harbor which is also one of the most touristic resorts of the region. We will then take you to the spot of the official start of the modern Marathon races and then we will take you to the Marathon race museum followed by the local Archaelogical Museum of Marathonas.Depending on the time of arrival we continue our Attica full day private tour and the beautiful beach of Marathonas is ideal for swimming and leasure as well as for enjoying a nice lunch by the sea in one of the wonderful local taverns.
Then our trip will continue to Cape Sounio and to the glorious temple of Poseidon which is dominating the Aegean sea. We will stay to enjoy to breathtaking view and also if the schedule allows for it, you can enjoy a nice coffee while looking at the Greek islands as viewd from Sounio, before we head back to Athens.
