Tour Description

Attractions: Delphi Archeological Site & Museum,Temple of Apollo, Kalampaka, Meteora Monasteries, Thermopylae, Statue of Leonidas. 

1st day: Departure from Athens at 08.00, towards Delphi, via the E75 National Road, making a short stopover, we arrive to Delphi, about 11.30, where we will have a visit to the arhaeological site and the museum.The city of Delphi is located on the western side of Mount Parnassos, built at an altitude of 550 meters. Delphi, the "navel of the earth" in antiquity, was an ancient Greek city in which the most important oracle of the ancient Greek world. 
There is the possibility of having lunch, either in Delphi, or on our route to Kalambaka.Arrival in Kalambaka, around 19.30, where we will  overnight.

2nd day:  Departure from the hotel of Kalambaka at 08.30 am, to Meteora, where we will take a panoramic tour, taking photos and visiting 2 monasteries.The Meteora monasteries, built on the top of some of the rocks, are now the second most important monastic complex in Greece, after Mount Athos. There were 24 monasteries in Meteora, but nowadays 6 are functioning, while the remaining 15 are uninhabited and dilapidated. After this special experience, we return to Kalambaka for lunch.We leave for Athens around 14.30. We make a short stop for coffee and an extra stop for photos at Thermopylae (Field of the Battle between the Greeks and the Persians), one of the most important battles in the Greek and World History and the Monument of King Leonidas. Arrival in Athens, around 19.30.
