1st DAY: Join us on this amazing Delphi & Meteora three days organized tour, where we will take you to a wonderful journey to traditional and ancient Greece. We depart in the morning from Athens with Delphi as our first destination. Delphi is one of the most important archaeological sites of Greece as it is the remaining monuments of one of the most famous and respected cultural and religious centre of the ancient world. The Oracle Pythia was located there and people from everywhere came to her to seek guidance and to offer their gifts to her as sign of their gratitude.
You will get the chance to relive everything by going up on the hill and pass through the ancient ruins of Delphi as well as visit the museum and see one of the most famous bronze statues, the Charioteer. The statue was dedicated by Polyzalos after he won the Pythian games, to the god Apollo and it was one of the finest examples of the “Severe” style. Dinner and overnight at Delphi.(D)

2nd DAY: You will have the morning free to enjoy as you wish in Delphi. In the afternoonwe will continue our trip with Kalambaka as our next destination. We will be driving through Amfissa, Lamia and we will be traveling through the Thessalian plain, a place of great agriculturar importance in the entire Greece. This is also the location where according to the Greek mythology the Titans fought with the Olympian gods. We will then arrive in Kalambaka where we will dine and stay there for the night.(D)

3nd DAY: Today we are heading towards one of the most wonderful sites in Greece, Meteora. It’s a spectacular complex of monasteries that are built on top of rocks and its name actually means “suspended in the air”as a reference to its location and also the way it was built by monks who were carrying all the builting material by ropes and baskets. Meteora is a significant location and it’s second to importance after mount Athos. Originally consisting of 24 monasteries now only 6 have survived and are now part of UNESCO’s World Heritage List.
After having visited Meteora we will be driving back to Athens passing by the mythical Thermopylae(Short Stop) where Leonidas and his 300 spartan soldiers fought the Persians. The name Thermopylae translates to hot gates, a reference to the areas hot springs and it was also considered the entrance to Hades.
