Tour Description:

Attractions: Delphi Archaeological Site,Temple of Apollo, Kalampaka, Meteora Monasteries, Thermopylae, Statute of Leonidas.

1st DAY: Join us in this wonderful Delphi & Meteora two days organized tour. We start our journey from Athens and we drive through Levadia and Arachova before we reach our first destination Delphi. We arrive in this magnificent sanctuary of Delphi which is located in the foot of Parnassos mountain. the home of the famous Oracle, Pythia. You will get the opportunity to visit the archaeological site which is one of the most important sites of ancient Greece and it was considered a religious and cultural centre for the civilizations of that era. Visit of the archaeological site (Museum not included). We will continue our trip to reach our next destination taking you trough various cities of central Greece until we reach Kalambaka where we will enjoy a wonderful dinner and stay there for the night.(D)

2nd DAY: On the second day of our journey we will take you to the breathtaking Meteora, a complex of monasteries which name actually means “suspended in air”. It is a unique monument of Orthodoxy, built by its monks that showed extreme skill by carrying all the building materials on the top of the rocks using simple tools like ropes and baskets Originally consisting of 24 monasteries only 6 of them have survived today and they are now a part of Unesco’s World Heritage list. After visits start the drive back to Athens passing through Thermopylae (Short Stop). This visit sometimes can take place the first day.
