This is one of the most important archaeological sites in Greece, as it is the birth place of the Mycenaean civilization.
We will continue our Argolis full day organized tour and we will drive through Argos, where our next stop will be Nafplion, Greece’s first capital city back in 1829.
We will stay for a photostop there before we head to Epidaurus to visit its ancient theater. It’s a well preserved location, the benches and thrones of the theatre carry inscriptions with names of the donors, which can be considered as a direct reference of the monument with the cult of Dionysus. The theater is well famous for its exceptional acoustics, which makes it possible to hear perfectly every spoken word from the scene, without the need of amplifying the speech with any electronic instruments in any of the 12000 seats of the theater.
